Both of Little Chute’s cross country teams placed in the top ten at last week’s Hoehnke-Hill Milwaukee River invite at Veterans Park in Milwaukee. The girls team took second with 87 points, while the boys team took fifth with 167 points.
Kimberly’s Ava Van Camp is following in the footsteps of former Papermakers Kalli Mau and Mady Pearson. The senior will play her college volleyball at WIAC power UW-Oshkosh next fall.
Both Kaukauna cross country teams took second at last week’s Freedom invite at the Irish Waters golf course. The girls had 53 points, while the boys had 95 points as both teams finished behind Green Bay Preble in the invite.
HOWARD – Kimberly showed their running back depth in their 35-14 win over Bay Port last week. After an injury sidelined their top back Marcus Doucette, Kegan Pleau and Brady Bell stepped up in the run game to help Kimberly earn a decisive win over the Pirates.
The Kimberly girls tennis team got excellent play out of their senior leaders as Kate McGinnis and Julia Gurholt went undefeated this week in their four matches played.
After making it to sectionals the last three seasons, the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls volleyball team is hoping to be in the top three of the conference once again this season. Last season, the Ghosts went 28-12 overall and were 5-4 in the FVA.
