Janssen caps off season with sixth-place finish at state

Little Chute junior Matthew Janssen finished Saturday’s Division 2 individual state wrestling tournament at Adams-Friendship High School with a 1-2 record, eventually earning his way onto the podium with a sixth-place finish at 195 pounds.

Kaukauna boys lose another close one to Fond du Lac

For the second time this season, the Kaukauna boys’ basketball team came just a few points short of beating Fond du Lac. The margin was four on the road and once again four at home Thursday night, 87-83 in overtime.

Ghosts finish with ‘unprecedented’ seven place-winners at state

The Kaukauna wrestling program seems like, at this point, it has filled the entire record book, not to mention trophy case. However, the Ghosts somehow came away from Saturday’s WIAA Division 1 State Individual Wrestling tournament having accomplished something they never have before: Putting seven wrestlers on the podium.

Little Chute girls pick up third win of season with 39-30 win over Oconto Falls before bowing out in postseason

The Little Chute girls were able to earn their third win of the year last week with a 39-30 home victory over Oconto Falls in the regular season’s penultimate contest.

The win was sandwiched between road losses at Marinette and at Luxemburg-Casco.
