The Kimberly Papermakers boys basketball team closed the season out on a two game winning streak after two close wins against Appleton East and the Milwaukee Academy of Science.
Cooper Effa notched a double-double in Little Chute’s regular season finale last week. Effa scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds in the 65-37 win over Marinette.
Turnovers doomed the Little Chute Mustangs in their first round playoff matchup last week. The Omro Foxes capitalized on several travelling calls against the Mustangs as they handed Little Chute a 68-27 loss on the road.
FOND DU LAC – The Kaukauna Ghosts rolled into Fond du Lac on Thursday night on a roll, having won eight consecutive games and playing for a second-place finish in the Fox Valley Association.
The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls basketball team had success in the first half of their playoff game with De Pere last week. The Ghosts cut the deficit down to eight in the first half, but only managed 21 second half points in their 75-48 playoff loss on the road.

The Kimberly Papermakers girls basketball team added another regional title to their trophy case. The team made it at least 12 years in a row of making a regional final game and earned a sectional berth after a 46-37 win over Sussex Hamilton last weekend.
Kimberly’s Tanner Hart had his crosstown rivalry battles this season. The senior battled Kaukauna’s Peyton Lee five times this season alone with the final battle being at the state tournament.
MADISON - Liam Crook made sure his sophomore season was an undefeated one. The sophomore won a battle of undefeated wrestlers to secure his first ever state individual championship last weekend at the Kohl Center in Madison.
