Little Chute boys grit out win over New London

Cooper Effa and Trevor Verhagen helped the Little Chute Mustangs boys basketball team grit out their first win of the season on the road against New London. Both players led the way with 13 points in the win, while Jacob Verhagen also had eight points in the 49-46 win.

Ramses Trader and James Thao had the top finishes for the Kimberly wrestling team at the Papermaker invite last week. Trader took first in the 132 lbs. weight class on the girls side, while Thao took third in the same weight class on the boys side.

The Little Chute girls basketball team played a close first half with Green Bay East before the Red Devils used an early second half run to pull away. Green Bay East used an 8-0 run to gain the advantage as they handed the Mustangs a 40-25 loss at home.
