Kaukauna girls golf headed back to state

The Kaukauna girls golf team is headed back to state for the third year in a row. The Ghosts took second at last week’s Bay Port invitational with 348 strokes with Charlie Clinefelter and McKenna Lowe both posting scores in the top 10 at Thornberry Creek.

Reis gets 20 kills as Kimberly girls volleyball beats Kaukauna in four sets

The Kimberly and Kaukauna rivalry was also renewed in girls volleyball last week as Ava Reis dominated on the court for the Papermakers. The senior had 20 kills in Kimberly’s win over the Ghosts.

The Little Chute defense has stepped up big the last four games and their win over Luxemburg-Casco last week was another example. The Mustangs had two interceptions, but the offense struggled to capitalize on their scoring chances in the win.

Carter Howard and Aaron Cullen stepped up their games last week for the Kimberly Papermakers in their 38-20 win over their crosstown rivals from Kaukauna. Quarterback Braeden Ellefson hit both in the second half as the Papermakers scored the final 21 points of the game.

Little Chute shuts out Sheboygan Falls on the road

The Little Chute Mustangs are hitting their stride with two games left in the regular season. The Mustangs have only allowed 10 points in the last three games as the team shut out their second opponent in three games after their 23-0 win over Sheboygan Falls last week.
