Kaukauna alum Cailin Kinas is trying to take this last cross country season in. The senior is currently running in her last college cross country season and is aiming at getting a cross country conference championship trophy this fall.
The Kimberly Papermakers showed their depth in their 35-7 win over Hortonville last week. The team ran at the ball for 209 yards with five players running the ball in the win.
The Kaukauna Ghosts golf team galloped their way toward a fourth consecutive conference championship last week. The Ghosts won the conference meet at Chaska by 35 strokes and broke last year’s school record of 328 strokes with 325 strokes at this year’s meet.
The Little Chute girls cross country team had three place in the top four at last week’s Smiley Invitational in Wausau. Seniors Ashley Wilson, Lauren Wegand and Sami Miller led the way for the Mustangs as they won the invite with 45 points.
DENMARK - Little Chute’s running game made Denmark’s Homecoming game a struggle as the Vikings got a heavy dose of Brock Gardner’s rushing ability in the 23-0 Mustangs win. Gardner accounted for 166 yards of the team’s 266 rushing yards in the win.
APPLETON – Even given the dominance of the Kimberly football team for the past 20 years, it was one of the shortest times for a running clock to begin and for the reserves to start filtering into the game.
The Kimberly girls tennis team improved their conference mark to 6-1 after sweeps against Appleton West and Fond du Lac last week. The Papermakers currently sit at 27-9 overall.
Kaukauna got revenge on the Fond du Lac Cardinals Friday night with a 35-20 win. The Cardinals were the Ghosts only regular season loss in the 2023 season.
