Kaukauna had runners in scoring position in each of the second, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings last Tuesday as the fourth-seeded Ghosts matched up with fifth-seeded Appleton North in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal, but Kaukauna’s six hits only plated two runs as its 2021 campaign came to a close in a 4-2 loss.
Anyone who watched game seven of the Milwaukee Bucks-Brooklyn Nets series got to see one of the most incredible NBA playoff games of all time. No hyperbole there. That’s one of the games I’ll be telling my grandkids about.

The Kimberly softball team closed out the final week of the regular season with three consecutive wins, finishing the year with an overall record of 15-9 and a Fox Valley Association record of 13-5, earning a fourth-place finish in the conference.
