Kaukauna softball beats Kimberly in offensive clash

The Kaukauna softball team hosted Kimberly on May 11 and carried a 5-0 lead into the fifth inning. The Papermakers seem to have a knack for rallying in late innings though this season, and Kimberly scored twice in the fifth and twice in the sixth to cut the Ghosts’ lead to 5-4.

The Little Chute baseball team played five times last week, sweeping a doubleheader against Fox Valley Lutheran Tuesday to begin the week before holding on to beat Seymour in a non-conference matchup and then ending the week with a split of a doubleheader with Freedom.

The Kimberly girls’ soccer team played twice last week, both Fox Valley Association conference affairs. The Papermakers played Appleton North to a 0-0 draw at home on Tuesday night before cruising to a 5-1 win on the road at Neenah on a rainy evening in a game that had important FVA implications.

Little Chute boys finish sixth, girls seventh in Kimberly

The Little Chute boys’ track team grabbed a sixth-place finish against some of the best competition in the state at the Gil Frank Invitational in Kimberly May 22, while the girls finished fifth.
The boys then finished first at a North Eastern Conference quad in Luxemburg Tuesday afternoon, while the girls finished second.

Kaukauna girls track finishes third, boys finish fourth at 2021 Gil Frank


File photo/Kaukauna’s Carson Sippel finished third in the boys’ 100-meter dash at last Saturday’s Gil Frank Invitational in Kimberly. Sippel was also second in the 200 and finished third in the long jump.
The Kaukauna girls’ track team finished third overall at the annual Gil Frank Invitational in Kimberly on May 22 with a total 107 points, while the boys grabbed a fourth-place finish with 86 points.
Alexa Kinas and Cailin Kinas each finished second in the 400-meter dash and the 800-meter run, respectively.

Kimberly boys track wins annual Gil Frank Invite, girls runners-up

The Kimberly boys’ track team finished first at the Papermakers’ annual Gil Frank Invitational on May 22, amassing 157.5 total points and beating second-place Freedom by 20.
The Kimberly girls finished in second place, only five points behind the Irish and 45 points clear of third-place Kaukauna.

Kimberly pitching leads Makers to two wins before Memorial Day break

Kimberly’s pitching staff allowed just one earned run – and only three runs total - as the Papermakers won both of their games last week, beating Appleton East 13-2 on Monday before earning a 9-1 win over Oshkosh West Tuesday.
