After two conference losses to Clintonville, the Little Chute Mustangs softball team saw their season come to a close with a WIAA regional loss to Notre Dame.
Karly Meredith was once again dominant in Kaukauna’s win over Appleton North. The Virginia commit allowed only one hit and struck out 13 in their 10-0 win over the Lightning.
Aiden Humphreys had the hit heard around the NEC last week. With the Tigers trailing in extra innings, the senior hit a walk-off grand slam to secure Wrightstown at least a share of a conference title.
The Kimberly Papermakers boys lacrosse team ended their regular season with an undefeated conference record earning them the Bay Valley Conference title. The Papermakers added two conference wins last week against De Pere and Notre Dame to secure an 8-0 record in conference.
Brady Hoffer made the biggest impact for the Kaukauna track and field team at last week’s FVA conference championship. Hoffer won both the triple jump and the high jump at the meet as the boys team took second with 81 points and the girls team took third with 102.5 points.
Hunter Sprangers and Kristin Behnke made their impact in the throws at last week’s FVA conference championship meet at Kaukauna High School. Sprangers won both the discus and shot put, while Behnke came up just short of breaking her sister’s own record.
The Meixl brothers were back in action in doubles last week for the Kimberly tennis team. Aiden and Colin Meixl earned two doubles wins during their meets against Oshkosh North and Appleton East.
The Kaukauna boys track and field team earned a first place finish at last week’s FVA quad at Appleton North. The boys finished with 64 points, while the girls took second with 69 points.
Maddux Hermus showed that he can do more than just kick a football. Hermus showed that he has solid baseball skills from the mound and at the plate during last week’s action.
